I’ve been diving into abstract visual art for the last few years, and it’s been quite an adventure! You might be surprised to learn that my confidence to explore this part of my art came from my piano lessons and my study of music theory.

This sampler is a collection of snippets from conversations I had with abstract painters I met while living in Chicago. Back then, I was trying to understand what abstract art meant, how to measure and value it. None of these artists gave me all the answers, so I had to figure it out myself.

Meeting these artists in Chicago was an incredible experience. I learned so much from people who express themselves in ways that are different from mine.
