I saw Eleanor’s paintings in Chicago’s Hofheimer Gallery and found them incredibly interesting and thought-provoking. I then met her in person and she was as unique as her paintings.
I host a web series called ‘Checking In With…” where I have artists present a selection of their artwork and talk about it. The series is a platform for artists to say what they want, and generally, I don’t ask too many questions. I don’t want to influence the conversation too much. I had Eleanor as a guest and as she discussed her paintings I generated many many questions for her - but I held back. But I knew there was a lot more for me to uncover.
Eager To Know would be the perfect place for my questions to be answered.

Photographer Melissa Ann Pinney is best known for her studies of the social lives and emerging identities of American girls and women. Her photographs have won her numerous fellowships and awards and found their way into the collections of major museums in the US and abroad.
